Want to know what Easy English is all about?

The Training Consortium is running an Easy English training course on Thursday 5 September 2013. If you are responsible for producing documents in accessible formats this course will be beneficial for you!
What is Easy English?
Easy English is a method of presenting information that is easy to read and understand. Easy English documents are particularly important when communicating with audiences with disability, low literacy levels, or where English is a second language.
There are guidelines for the production of Easy English documents, including the use of images to support text, using a large font size and allowing plenty of white space.
Why should I attend?
The Tasmanian Government has committed to promoting the provision of information in accessible formats as part of the Disability Framework for Action 2013-2017.
