Networking and information session: How Australians want to hear from brands

Australia Post conducted an independent survey of 9500 Australians to find out their attitudes towards advertising and the effectiveness of communication channels.

The presentation will cover:

  • how receptive Australians are to advertising messages
  • which advertising channels consumers consider most effective
  • which channels they consider are most useful when interacting with businesses and government organisations

How will the presentation be run?

The presentation (including questions and answers) will take place between 3.30pm and 4.30 pm. From 4.30pm you’ll have time to network with colleagues from across Government. Light refreshments will be provided.

Who is presenting?

Presenter Paul Fanthorpe has been with Australia Post for two and a half years and heads up the Insight function which includes modelling, market analysis, research and competitor intelligence.

Paul started his career in traditional marketing roles for IBM and American Express, but it wasn’t long before the analytical side of marketing became his passion.  Whilst in the UK he worked in loyalty consulting and customer relations for clients such as Budget Rent-a-Car, Hilton and MasterCard. Since making the move to Australia in 1999, Paul has worked at Origin Energy, AXA and Sensis in various analytical, customer relationship management or insight roles.
