Tasmanian Infrastructure Strategy Website

  • The Tasmanian Infrastructure Strategy identifies the vision for infrastructure in our key economic sectors of transport, water, energy, digital and acknowledges the central role the planning system plays in Tasmania. 

Infrastructure Australia Submissions

  • On 13 September 2013, the Tasmanian Government provided updated information on IA to several key infrastructure projects. The submission includes updates on the following three projects already listed on IAs Project Priority Pipeline:
    • Bell Bay Intermodal Expansion
    • Burnie to Hobart Freight Corridor Strategy
    • Tasmanian Irrigation Scheme - Tranche 2

Nation Building 2 Submission

  • Nation Building is the Australian Government's major transport funding program for all States. The Program focuses on Australia's major freight and passenger corridors, and on projects that deliver significant productivity, efficiency and connectivity improvements.

Southern Tasmania National Transport Network Investment Program 2007-2015 (PDF 1MB)

  • The State Government has developed a comprehensive transport investment program for Southern Tasmania. The investment program covers a ten-year period and represents one of the biggest single improvements to land transport ever undertaken in Tasmania.

Western Tasmania Industry Infrastructure Study

  • The Western Tasmanian Industry Infrastructure Study was undertaken to develop a list of recommended infrastructure projects for western Tasmania, to encourage and support economic development in the region. The project focused on infrastructure for transport, energy, telecommunications and water, with a 20 year horizon.
