ClimateConnect grant program

Applications for the current round of grants closed on 11 October 2013

The Tasmanian government's ClimateConnect grants program offers grants of up to $15 000 each to help Tasmanian communities and industries adapt to the opportunities and risks from climate change.

What can the money be used for?

The types of project ideas that could be funded include:

  • developing adaptation plans
  • investigating ways to support climate change adaptation decision-making processes
  • developing and delivering climate change adaptation communication tools and training modules
  • trialling new strategies to manage or respond to a particular climate change impact
  • undertaking a cost-benefit analysis of proposed adaptation actions
  • engaging with a community to discuss options for managing, protecting and/or relocating facilities that may be at risk from climate change.
