Labor must fess up on secret cuts
- 27 Feb, 2014
Lara Giddings must come clean on her secret savings at this afternoon's debate.
Two days ago (25 February) Lara Giddings claimed Labor would announce some savings - "In fact we will have some savings to be able to announce as well."
Lara Giddings must use today's debate to reveal where she will cut.
In the next four years Tasmania is facing Budget deficits of $903 million. They must be addressed and Ms Giddings needs to say how she will do so.
Instead Lara Giddings has racked up another $145.6 million in election promises and not identified any savings to pay for them.
Only the Liberals will rebuild the budget. Only the Liberals have a plan to get the budget back under control.
