Sue and her husband, Roger, have worked in the tourism industry since coming to Tasmania and are enthusiastic promoters of all that Tasmania has to offer. Having lived abroad for many years they really appreciate the natural beauty, clean air, uncrowded environment and sense of community.
Sue is a qualified teacher of Art and Bahasa Indonesian and first joined the Liberal Party as a young mother in Victoria, working on campaigns both there and in Tasmania.
Sue has always had a passion for education and overseas aid, and was able to combine these two things not only during her time in Indonesia, but also working in Aceh after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, as well as working with Rotary building homes in Fiji.
During her time in Indonesia, she worked establishing an orphanage in Sumatra, and as a teacher trainer in Indonesian Schools in Jakarta and in Surabaya.
She has 3 children and 2 step-children all of whom work on the mainland.
