If you have a complaint about a health service provider in Tasmania, the Health Complaints Commissioner may be able to help you. You can make an initial enquiry by phone (1800 001 170) or in person at our office. We will ask you to put your complaint in writing before we make any enquiries.

Find out more »The Tasmanian Health Complaints Commissioner is an independent officer appointed by the Tasmanian Governor. The Commissioner's role is to:
- promote and protect the rights of consumers who use health services in Tasmania
- help resolve problems between consumers and providers of health services in Tasmania
- improve the safety and quality of health services in Tasmania.
We can look into complaints from individuals or organisations about the provision of health services in both the private and public sectors.
