Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Tasmanians

Gay pride paradeThe Tasmanian Government is committed to fostering an inclusive and vibrant Tasmania in which sex, sexual and gender diversity is embraced, and discrimination and prejudice on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity is not accepted. Tasmania is enriched by the full participation of all community members, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) Tasmanians, in all aspects of community life, government decision making and service delivery.

The Whole-of-Government Framework for LGBTI Tasmanians has recently been updated by the LGBTI Whole-of-Government Reference Group to reflect significant legislative and policy changes since its release in December 2004. You can find out more about the Framework, the LGBTI Whole-of-Government Reference Group, and other programs and resources for LGBTI Tasmanians by clicking on the links below.
