The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE) administers the Strata Titles Act 1998. This Act replaced and updated the existing strata titles legislation at that time.
The Strata Titles Act includes some new provisions. In particular, the new Act includes a new dispute resolution procedure, where the parties in dispute can apply to the Recorder of Titles to deal with the problem.
