Walkthrough - TasALERT in active mode
The Active home page provides the public with important information during an active incident(s).
The following information provides an overview of the functionality available on this page.
Map
The map provides real time data feeds from emergency services (such as the Tasmania Fire Service) displayed on the State Government’s geospatial system.
Clicking an icon on the map will display information within the map. Click ‘View full page’ map to be taken to a larger view of the map and its information.

Critical Alerts
The critical alerts area displays the most important FIVE messages published by the Government’s Public Information Unit (PIU) across all active incidents.
Click an alert title to open it and see the full message.

Social Media Links
These buttons will take you to the official TasALERT Facebook page and Twitter page.
Make sure you Like TasALERT on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter to stay up to date with official government emergency communications.

Active Incident Tiles
Any active emergency incidents are displayed on the Homepage. The boxes are colour coded to the current alert level of the incident:
Yellow = Watch and Act Red = Emergency Grey = Recovery
The current alert level is also displayed as text under the incident name.
Clicking the incident name will take you to the incident page.

Social Media Feeds
The social media feeds area displays the real time Facebook and Twitter feeds for emergency services agencies.
Alternative feeds can be added dependent on the particular emergency.
