Walkthrough - TasALERT Incident Page
The Active home page provides the public with important information during an active incident(s).
The following information provides an overview of the functionality available on this page.
Map The map provides real time data feeds from emergency services (such as the Tasmania Fire Service) displayed on the State Government’s geospatial system. Clicking an icon on the map will display information within the map. Click ‘View full page’ map to be taken to a larger view of the map and its information.

Critical Alerts The critical alerts area displays the most important FIVE messages published by the Government’s Public Information Unit (PIU) across all active incidents. Click an alert title to open it and see the full message. |  |
Key Contacts The key contacts area provides the phone number details for key services relating to the incident (for example, local animal care, missing persons, etc.). |  |
Sharing The ‘Share’ icons allow you to share a link to the incident page via Facebook, Twitter or email. A link to the incident page will be posted for others to access directly. |

Categorised Notifications All current notifications published by the Government’s Public Information Unit (PIU) are accessible via this categorised list. Click a category to see all notifications relevant to that category. Multiple categories can be opened at the same time. Click on a notification title to open its full detail. | |
Social Media Feeds The social media feeds area displays the real time Facebook and Twitter feeds for emergency services agencies. Alternative feeds can be added dependent on the particular emergency. |  |
