How do I access information

The Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources is committed to providing the community with open and transparent access to information about its services and activities. Most information is available direct from our Divisions. (contact numbers for Divisions are listed below). Our website contains various publications and pages detailing our services and business operations.

The Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources will increasingly make information available to the public through active disclosure, this means we will routinely make information available this will assist the public in understanding what it is we do and how we do it.

This may be done via our website, through publications (e.g. fact sheets, or discussion papers )or, via reports (e.g. our Annual Report) or by contacting the contacting the Department.

You may find information from the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources in the following ways:

If it is old information it may be deposited with the Tasmanian Archives and Heritage Office.

If you have not been able to locate the particular information/service you are after via any other method you may wish to contact us to discuss your particular enquiry. While the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources provides much information to the community about its activities, if you have been unable to obtain access to information through the website or by talking directly to the Department, you may wish to make an application under the Right to Information Act 2009.
