Integrity Assurance Board
Introduction
The Integrity Assurance Board is an independent body established by the Tasmanian Government under Section 21 of the Racing Regulation Act 2004 to adjudicate appeals arising from certain decisions of the Director of Racing, Tasracing Pty Ltd and registered racing clubs.
Appeals may be lodged with the Integrity Assurance Board against -
- statutory decisions of the Director of Racing referred to in section 22D of the Act; or
- decisions of Tasracing in respect of certain race field information publication matters (refer section 22DA); or
- a decision of a racing club to withdraw its permission for a bookmaker to field at its racecourse (refer section 22E).
Appeals may also be lodged by a person in dispute with a bookmaker about a bet (refer section 22E).
