Services & Facilities

Our mission is to serve the community by providing access to an accountable independent and impartial system of justice administered according to law.

At each of the four permanent Court Registries it is possible to apply to access digital recordings of proceedings, audio and video conferencing, interpreters, justices of the peace and information on legal advice services.  Some services attract a statutory fee or service charges.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Wheelchair access is available at all Court Registries and hearing assistance is available at the Hobart and Devonport Registries.  Public toilets are available at all registries and baby change facilities are available in Hobart and Launceston.

Confectionary and drink vending machines are available in all locations.

The Courts do not provide parking or child care facilities.

Staff will do their best to assist with your enquiries, however there is a limit to what we can say or do.
