Going To Court

You may need to go to Court for a number of reasons. You could be:

  • an accused person to be tried before a Magistrate;
  • a witness in either a criminal or civil trial;
  • a party in a civil trial;
  • a self represented litigant.

This section of the Court's web site contains information to help you understand how the court operates.

It also contains information on:

  • legal advice;
  • costs;
  • court etiquette;
  • practice directions of the Court; and
  • restraint orders

as well as links to the Court Rules and Forms where appropriate.
