Practice and Procedure

The information contained in this section aims to provide access to the basic requirements for dealing with particular types of issues in different jurisdictions of the Court.  It is by no means exhaustive and it is strongly recommended that you obtain independant legal advice on any matter before the Court

For example, you can access the Forms required to deal with some criminal matters via the Criminal Proceedings tab and also obtain details on how to Pay a Fine.

In the Civil Actions there is a range of information covering Minor Civil Claims, Residential Tenancies, and Mediation and Conciliation.

You can also gain access to Practice Directions and Circulars issued by the Chief Magistrate as well as details of Fees payable for some matters.
