Media Information

Representatives of the media are entitled to be present in all those Courts which are open to the public.  Separate seating is provided for their use.

Courts closed to the public, and to the media, are those dealing with youth matters and sexual assault matters.  On occasions, after considering submissions from the legal representatives of interested parties, Magistrates may decide to close a court hearing to the public.
