Integrity Commission

Investigations Report

The Integrity Commission today tabled a report in Parliament on three complaints it finalised this year which resulted in one public sector employee losing their job, another resigning and recommendations to overhaul procedures at the Risdon Prison Complex.

The Chief Executive Officer, Diane Merryfull, said the Integrity Commission Report No. 1 of 2013, was a major step by the Commission to explain to the community the effective and essential investigative work that it does.

"Our investigations can reveal serious misconduct by public sector employees and also agency systems or policies that are inadequate, ineffective or not being adhered to," Ms Merryfull said.
