Import Risk Analysis for the Importation of Queen Bees
This Import Risk Analysis (IRA) has been conducted to review current requirements for the importation of queen bees into Tasmania.
The IRA has been prepared by staff within the Biosecurity and Product Integrity Division of DPIPWE.
The recommendations of this IRA in general support the existing requirements for importation of queen bees, but with one change. The recommended change is that on arrival in Tasmania the queen bees should be inspected by a Quarantine officer for evidence of small hive beetle.
You are invited to make comments on this IRA. Comments do not need to be made in any particular format.
