Roads and Traffic
The Roads and Traffic Division is responsible for the provision and management of infrastructure associated with the State Road
Traffic & Infrastructure
T&IB has responsibility for DIER's road, bridge and land asset, which includes monitoring road use and reporting on asset condition, planning for future development, managing the impact of external development and development of maintenance programs.
The Branch also has responsibility for traffic management, which includes regulation of traffic management devices and identification of road safety initiatives to improve road safety.
Operations
The Operations Branch provides strategic direction and support to the State of Tasmania in the development and delivery of the Roads Program within available Commonwealth and State funds. The Branch also manages roads program policy, contracts, maintenance, funding issues, and monitors and reports on delivery of the Road Program.
