Office of Energy Planning & Conservation
The Office is primarily responsible for the provision of policy advice on energy issues to the Tasmanian Government. The office also: represents the jurisdiction on a range of policy investigations and procedural matters; is actively involved in implementing changes to the legislative framework, which regulates the Tasmanian energy sector and has a role in planning preparedness for energy supply emergencies.
The Office is currently involved in a number of State and National projects including:
- National Energy Market Reforms;
- Energy Planning - supply and demand analysis;
- Energy Emergency Planning; and
- National Energy Efficiency policy and other demand side initiatives.
