Getting to Bruny Island

Bruny Island Cruises Map

Bruny Island is a favourite with not just the locals but also with visitors from interstate and overseas. Bruny is made up of a North and South Island that are separated by a narrow isthmus called "The Neck".

Bruny Island has a population of around 630 and is deceptively large – being about 100km in length.

Bruny Island is home to numerous quality food and wine producers, including handmade fudge, cheese and fresh oysters.

Driving from Hobart to Kettering

You will need to allow 45 minutes to drive from Hobart to Kettering.

From Hobart, follow Davey Streeet onto the Southern Outlet (Highway A6) towards Kingston. Follow the signs to the Bruny Island Ferry. This will take you along the Channel Highway through Margate, Snug and Oyster Cove before arriving in Kettering.

Once you have arrived in Kettering, you will need to turn left onto Ferry Road. Those driving themselves down to Adventure Bay should continue along Ferry Road to the Bruny Island Ferry queue.

If you are travelling on our Kettering Pick Up Tour you will need to meet our bus at the Kettering Bus Pick Up Point.

This is located at the Oyster Cove Marina, on Ferry Road, 800m before the Ferry Terminal. Once you turn onto Ferry Road from the main highway, you need to take the first left hand down to the Pick Up Point.
