TGIIF deadline extended
The closing date for the Tasmanian Government Innovation and Investment Fund has been extended until 5:00pm Friday, March 1 2013. TGIIF provides one-off grants of up to $250 000 to assist eligible Tasmanian business owners to invest in innovative projects.
Invest Tasmania Map launched
The new online Invest Tasmania Map has been launched showing almost $12.6 billion of investment activity that is either under consideration, planned, or underway in Tasmania. The map allows users to view project sites with satellite imagery and provides brief information on those projects.

New Regional Plans
The Minister for Economic Development, David O’Byrne MP, has launched three Regional Economic Development Plans, for the North West, Northern and Southern regions of Tasmania.
The Plans provide a framework, at the regional level, to determine strategic priorities and to coordinate their implementation.
