The National Police Memorial, located in Kings Park, Canberra, commemorates Australian police officers who have been killed on duty or have died as a result of their duties.

National Police Remembrance Day is celebrated annually on the 29th of September and is identified by the wearing of the traditional blue and white chequerboard ribbon, officially recognised as the symbol of Remembrance Day. As a sign of respect and support for past members, Tasmania Police and members of the community are asked to wear or display the blue and white ribbons annually, during the period of remembrance.

Further details are available on the National Police Memorial website.
