HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

The staff of the House of Assembly provide the administrative machinery for the efficient conduct of the House of Assembly and its committees and certain joint committees and a range of services and facilities for Members in Parliament House.


Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the following position:


PERSONAL ASSISTANT


The Personal Assistant is responsible for the high level administrative support of the Office of the Clerk of the House of Assembly at Parliament House.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for the high level administrative support of the Office of the Clerk of the House of Assembly at Parliament House.

This position in common with other general positions in the House of Assembly requires each occupant to have the ability to act with tact and discretion in a complex political workplace. A demonstrated history of employment in a non-political working environment will be an advantage.


The position is responsible for the provision of administrative support to Clerks-at-the Table and other senior officers of the House.


The successful applicant will be appointed under the provisions of the Parliamentary Privilege Act 1898.


The annual salary is $53925-$56124. Salary to be determined subject to experience. Other work conditions broadly relate to those applying to State Service employees.
