Web guidelines

The Tasmanian government website development and web publishing guidelines provide:

  • Practical advice on implementing whole-of-government requirements; and
  • Advice on better practices in web publishing.

These guidelines have been developed in consultation with the Tasmanian government Web Publishing Reference Group.

The Inter Agency Steering Committee (IASC) has approved these guidelines for use by Tasmanian government agencies.

Recordkeeping strategies for websites and web pages

This guideline is maintained by the Archives Office of Tasmania and provides information about records management for websites and supporting recordkeeping strategies Tasmanian Government agencies can use for website development and web publishing.

Web Content Management Guidelines

Provide practical advice on implementing whole-of-government content management standards and advice on better practices in website content management.

Web Design and Navigation Guidelines

Provide practical advice on implementing whole-of-government website design and navigation requirements and establishing a consistent user experience for Tasmanian Government websites.

Web Discovery Guidelines

Provides information to help Tasmanian Government agencies develop websites that can be used effectively by website visitors.

Web Domain Naming Guidelines

Provides information on website naming within the Tasmanian Government web publishing environment and processes for business units and project managers to register and delete website addresses.

Web Usability Guidelines

Provides practical advice on implementing whole-of-government usability requirements and better practices in usability for Tasmanian Government agencies publishing information on websites.
