Client Update Service ProjectThe Client Update Service (CUS) is a proposed new client-initiated service to be offered through Service Tasmania to enable individuals to update their personal information. Under the new service, clients will be able to update details such as their name, address and telephone contact details, as currently held by the Tasmanian Government business units of which they are clients. The service will incorporate an address validation process to ensure that the address information held by agencies will be correct and consistent. The project business plan was endorsed by the Client Update Service Project Steering Committee on 4 May 2007. The Client Update Service is being developed as a joint Tasmanian and Victorian Government initiative and builds on the Victorian Mapping and Address Service (VMAS). This is a service that allows for a real-time validation of address information against the Geo-coded National Address File (GNAF) and the Australia Post Postal Address File (PAF).
