The Voice Services Project was established to determine the future telephony and related ICT services needs for the Tasmanian Government in order to negotiate a new agreement with preferred suppliers.
The Project began in 2010 and involved the development of the Voice Services Strategy, followed by a procurement stage. Across the series of procurements to deliver the strategy, TMD, on the behalf of the Tasmanian Government, has leveraged opportunities relating to:
- multiple supplier arrangements
- integration of on-net benefits across a range of telephony and value-add platforms
- increased service automation and self-service capability
- a whole-of-government approach to service direction and development.
The Voice Services Project is now nearing completion and its project outputs are being handed over to the Modern Comms Program to implement.
