Festivals and Events

Screen Tasmania recognises the need to engage the local community and support the promotion of local, national and international talent and stories, and engender interest in Tasmanian screen culture.

The Festivals and Events Fund supports screen-based activities, such as film festivals, conferences, seminars and screenings that build audience interest and awareness of a vibrant screen industry that contributes to Tasmania’s rich cultural life.

Applications are invited for the following screen-based activities or events:

  • film festivals
  • film screenings
  • established Australian screen industry conferences
  • one-off special events such as premieres of Screen Tasmania funded content

The following projects are ineligible:

  • professional development courses or workshops
  • private events
  • non screen related events

For full details, eligibility criteria, assessment criteria and information on how to apply, download the Festival and Events Guidelines in pdf format. All applications must include a completed Festival and Events Fund application form, available in Word format.

Projects and applicants must satisfy a number of eligibility criteria before submitting an application and should also read the Screen Tasmania General Guidelines and Terms of Trade, both available in pdf format.
