Department of Premier and Cabinet TMD

The TMD Government Contact Centre (GCC) is a statewide service, with operators based in centres in Hobart and Launceston, responding to calls from the public and Tasmanian Government employees.

 

The GCC operates as the:

  • Service Tasmania telephone channel – providing information, as well as facilitating a range of Service Tasmania transactions to be completed over the telephone
  • Service Tasmania one number for Government – providing a statewide service to connect callers to relevant agencies, business units or individuals

 

In addition, the GCC provides various telephone support services for TMD customers. 

Call handling solutions

Dedicated solutions based on customer needs.  For example, after hours voicemail, and telephone reception service.

Message bank

The message bank service allows customers to forward their telephones to the message service number, where messages are taken from callers and passed to the customer later.

The message bank service is particularly useful to provide coverage for reception areas when staff are unavailable.

Conference calls

Conference calls can be arranged by the GCC Monday to Friday between 08:15 and 17:00h (except for Statewide public holidays)
