Search for UTAS Theses

 

All UTAS PhD theses, and some Masters and Honours theses, are held in our library collections.  These are indexed by the library catalogue. 

To ensure you identify ALL relevant theses, do two searches -Title Keywords and also General Keywords. 

For each search, type:

thes*s and the name of the appropriate school

(e.g. thes*s education)

or, type thes*s and a keyword from the name of the institute/centre

(e.g. thes*s maritime)

To reduce your search results, add tasmania

    Find and access an electronic copy of a UTAS thesis:

    • UTAS ePrints  
      Rating
      The UTAS repository for access to digital theses as well as an archive providing full-text access to other publications by University of Tasmania staff and higher degree students.
    • Trove  
        
        
      Rating
      As a graduate of the University of Tasmania, an electronic copy of your thesis will be accessible via Trove.
    • eCite.UTAS  
      Rating
      A digital archive that provides access to research outputs at the University of Tasmania including citations for theses. This is the official UTAS collection point for scholarly papers arising from federally-funded research.

    Request a UTAS thesis 

    • If the thesis you require is at at UTAS Library on another campus, request it via the library catalogue.

    • You will be notified by e-mail when the thesis is available.
      Allow 3 working days for delivery.

    • Requested theses will be held at the Client Services Desk in the library you select, for in-library consultation only.

                  How do I request via the library catalogue?

     

    Please note:

    Printed copies of most UTAS theses are housed in the Science Library.

    If you visit the Science Library, staff will make these available to you upon request.
