University mobile telephone plan - Telstra Business Mobile Plus

Mobile telephones purchased by the University for business purposes are covered by the following corporate plan :

Key Features

  • Calls between any two mobile telephones on the corporate plan are FREE (within Australia)
  • Calls are charged by the second
  • Telstra Next G or GSM
  • Choice of Bonus Option
  • Loyalty Bonus Credit (see below)


Voice Call & Messaging Rate Table (24 month contract)

Rates quoted in this table prevail unless over-ridden by your choice of Bonus Option (see below). For example, if you are on a $35 plan your standard call rate will be 19c per 30 seconds plus 14c flagfall; but if you've selected the 'Any Mobile' Bonus Option then calls made to non-Utas mobile phones will be charged at the lower rate of 9c per 30 seconds (plus the 14c flagfall). All prices include GST.

Member Plan Bonus Options

Subscribers on a monthly plan and a 24 month contract may choose from the following Bonus Options. The Bonus Option remains in force for the duration of the contract unless changed by request or by review. Rates are shown as cents per 30 seconds but charged per second. Flagfall charges will still apply. If your chosen Bonus Option does not apply to your voice call, it will be charged according to the Voice Call & Messaging Rate Table above.

Any Mobile Calls to any mobile number on any mobile network within Australia at any time.

Business Hours Calls between 7am and 7pm, 7 days per week to all fixed lines and mobile numbers within Australia.

Untimed to Fixed Lines Calls to Australian fixed lines at any time are untimed and only the call connection fee applies.

Free MessageBank No charge for Telstra MessageBank diversion and retrieval.

Loyalty Bonus Credit

If you use a phone purchased outright or through Telstra's Mobile Repayment Option (MRO) AND you are on a 24 month contract, you will receive a Loyalty Bonus Credit for the term of the contract.

NO Loyalty Bonus Credit is available for casual or 12 month contracted services.

Subsidised handsets obtained on the $0 upfront Business Phone Option Schedule also do not qualify for a Loyalty Bonus Credit.

Mobile Broadband Data Packs (rates effective January 2010)

Data Pack pricing plans are based on data usage and charged in 1 Kilobyte (KB) blocks or part thereof. Note: 24 Month Contracts where you bring your own device also attract a $10 a month rebate.

If you are a low volume data user and prefer to simply pay for what you use, when you use it, Pay-As-You-Go is ideal.
