What is the SES? 

The SES comprises volunteers and staff who provide a response capability within each local government area. 

There are 26 units supported by local government and 3 regional units. The SES units are supported by paid regional and State staff.  There are 3 regions within the State. 

There are approximately 500 SES volunteers in Tasmania.
