Government Show Exhibit

Show_staff_smallThe Tasmanian Government presents an annual exhibit at the Burnie, Launceston and Hobart agricultural shows. It's a good chance for government to present issues to the community and interact with the public.

The Government show exhibit is a popular attraction, particularly with families and school groups as it provides free interactive experiences that are both educational and informative.

Each year the Government exhibit is designed around a central theme that is topical and relevant to the community. For example, in 2010 the theme explored the idea that 'Tasmania's biggest job - raising our children deserves a helping hand' and focussed on the importance of the early years and support available to Tasmanian children and families.

Reading_library_smallThe theme in 2011 explored the topic of "investing in our infrastructure" and focussed on three main topic areas: water, transport and energy.

The Government show exhibit is coordinated by the Department of Premier and Cabinet's Communications and Marketing Unit and planning is already underway for the 2012 exhibit.
