Personal information protectionOverviewThe Personal Information Protection Act 2004 regulates the collection, maintenance, use and disclosure of personal information held by the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The type of personal information that the Department of Premier and Cabinet collects may include a person’s name and contact details, together with any specific information about a person that may be required to enable us to provide a service or administer legislation. The Department takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it holds is accurate, complete and up to date. Where practicable, the Department will check on the accuracy of personal information before it is used.
