Local Government Annual Conference

As the body closest to local government in Tasmania, LGAT prides itself on delivering a relevant, high quality conference for the sector.  LGAT does this in-house, drawing on a breadth and depth of local government experience. Event partners, Local Government Managers Australia (LGMA) and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) assist with the development of a topical conference program that reaches across all spheres of local govenment activity.

The annual conference of local government is the one time in a year when suppliers can personally access decision makers in Tasmanian local government, altogether in the one place and receptive to new and innovative ideas.  An extensive trade exhibition is a popular component of the conference, providing valuable product and service information and face-to-face opportunities for delegates and suppliers.

The Tasmanian local government conference attracts around 220 delegates each year.  Every council is represented. To find out more about the sponsorship and trade opportunities that are available, you can view the most recent conference sponsorship prospectus further down this page.

The 2006 conference will be held June 21 to June 23 and the theme is 'Working Together'.
